I was born and brought up in London and have lived here most of my life. I have always loved to travel and explore new places but there is nothing quite like home!
As I’ve got older, I like to plan my trips in more detail, down to the best places to park and even where the toilets are!
My dream has been to create travel guides to my home city that will help visitors who like to know all the details but still experience an adventure.
I studied psychology at University (badly) and do like a good bout of psycho analysis, especially of myself! Midlife, menopause and teenagers certainly add their own twist to travel, when a little more comfort is preferred even though you think you’re still capable of roughing it!
When you still want to experience an adventure and see the world, but you get anxious about not knowing where to find parking or how to navigate around a city.
I decided in my mid (ish) 40s to reduce my time teaching in an English primary school and to start writing travel guides to London and beyond. To literally begin a new adventure.
You won’t find those perfect, Instagramable pictures on here (unless by total accident!). What you will find, are pictures showing you how to navigate around cities and attractions. Seeing what a place is actually like before you begin your own travels.
These travel guides are for everyone; young, old, families, single. If you like to know the details beforehand and would prefer not to wing it, then read these step-by-step guides to your own adventure.
